Good chili. It seemed to be missing something though, and I'm not sure what it is. I cooked the meat on the stove, added the seasonings (including minced garlic to the ground turkey and some red pepper flakes) and then put everything in the crock pot for a few hours. I had to use Great Northern beans instead of the recommended white kidney or cannellini beans since the grocery store didn't have either one. I served it with Homesteader Cornbread, also from allrecipes.com.

Ok, I LOVED this chili. Comforting, good combination of flavors, so much more than just chili powder! Easy to make, filling and good for you! Will be a new usual at our house!

Perfect for our Halloween night! I used canned Fire Roasted Tomatoes, and actual Turkey breast that I roasted instead of the ground turkey. The only thing I will add next time is hominy (because we love it!)

I always use cocoa in my chili but I've never tried it with cinnamon. I made two pots of Chili yesterday, one with beef for hubby and this recipe. I must say that the cinnamon added a very interesting and delicious flavor and not one that you could really put your finger on. I like my chili thick, so I only added in one cup of the broth and for another layer of flavor, I added a half cup of strong coffee. Thanks for a great recipe Dorothy!

I made this for my husband and neighbor and it was spectacular! Light and delicious. My neighbor took home the recipe and is making it tonight!

This chili is really great. It's perfect for a nice autumn day. If you like your chili a little spicy, I'd suggest adding some crushed red pepper flakes.

This chili recipe has become a family tradition for our Thanksgiving weekend in the mountains. It sets up beautifully in a crock pot and, served with homemade cornbread, it always finishes off our day of treasure hunting through mountain towns! I don't change a thing!

Our family likes Cincinnati chili, and the cocoa and cinnamon of this recipe impart a similar flavor. I made it with leftover Thanksgiving turkey, chopped, and it was excellent!
