Extremely happy I learned this. I had no idea it was so easy to have real, amazing whipped cream. Unless you're just a die hard dieter there is NO reason to use cool whip ever again.

This works great as a base and can be slightly tweaked with different flavors of extract such as raspberry, lemon, instant expresso and of course mint!

Followed the recipe exactly and it came out just right. I can see how some folks might want a little more sweetness, but I prefer to not overpower the cream with sugar.

This was great! I ended up using 2 cups of cream, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla, and 3 heaping tbsp of powdered sugar. It came out WAY better than you could ever buy at a grocery store!

Easy and delicious. I chilled the bowl and the beaters ahead of time. Did not have confectioners sugar, so I subbed with granulated sugar. Great recipe!

This recipe is great. I made a Bundt pound cake. I sliced some fresh strawberries into the whipped cream and poured it into the center of the pound cake and everyone loved the cake and whipped cream.

Tip for those OUT of powdered sugar: Simply place sugar in a coffee rinder, grind until sugar is a fine powder and VIOLA...you now have powdered sugar.

I used Splenda in place of sugar in an equal amount and it was perfect! I doubled the recipe to use in ambrosia for a dinner party and everyone raved over it and said they had never tasted whipped cream that was so good. It made a great dessert. In doubling, I went with about 1 1/2 t. of vanilla. Used cold glass bowl and beaters.

This is the whip cream recipe I always use. I first chill my bowl and beater in the freezer and it comes our perfect every time. I don't even measure my powdered sugar I just add a little until I get the taste and consistency I want. Thanks for the recipe.

This wasn't sweet enough and just wasn't right. My mother made cream a lot when I was younger and I was trying to get it to taste like what I remember. I played around with it and this is what I came up with. 3/4 c. heavy whipping cream, 2 T. granulated sugar and 1 t. vanilla. It tasted fantastic! (yields 1-1/2 c. whipped cream)

I caution everyone to beat the whipped cream only until combined after adding the vanilla and sugar. The first attempt I made, I beat the mixture too long and the milk separated from the butter making a globby mess.

Very good recipe! I bought strawberries & the shortcake shells but forgot the whipped cream. I'm glad I found this, I can't belive how simple but tasty it turned out! I don't think I'll ever buy whipped cream again! I did use 3 TBS like other reviewers suggested.

Perfect and easy. It's a quick and easy way to make any dessert fabulous. I use it frequently with strawberries and store-bought angel food cake for a dessert that is simple & elegant and everyone loves it. You can use this to take any dessert up a notch without spending all afternoon in the kitchen.
