I use reduced fat cream cheese and fat free evaporated milk. I've tried a couple different spice add-in's so far and it's always come out terrifically. My favorites are a packet (or two, depending on how sweet I want it that day) of Truvia and a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice or a teaspoon of italian seasoning and a little onion/garlic powder. GREAT spread on celery or sliced cucumbers.

Wonderful recipe that's so simple, yet so delicious and a great base for add-ins to customize to whatever your tastebuds happen to be craving! The possibilites are endless in terms of flavor combinations using fruits, jams or herbs and spices. Overall, very good and a nice change from plain cream cheese on bagels!

I made two variations of this simple recipe and was impressed with both – the first with cinnamon and powdered sugar to taste, the other with sweetened, mashed strawberries. Really, really good; eliminates having to buy the commercial Philadelphia product and the variations, both sweet and savory, are limitless.

Easy and much more affordable than the whipped cream cheese in the store. I made raspberry/strawberry with jelly.

I used two 8 oz packages of cream cheese and only two tablespoons of milk. Once it was combined I whipped it on high in my kitchenaid for a minute or so and the results were light, fluffy and delicious. It is very easy to spread and makes a little bit of cream cheese go a long way. Thanks!

this totally works! I also put it in my Kitchenaid mixer with the wire whip - I also added a tablespoon of jam and a couple tablespoons of sugar to make a sweet variety. Love it!

I made this in my kitchenaid stand mixer with the wire whip attachment and whipped it on high, turning it off intermittently to scrape down the bowl. I did double the cream cheese but I think I added too much milk (I need to start measuring). After it was whipped, I used the flat beater to folder in some chopped scallions. My wife and I spread this on homemade, toasted bagels and it was fabulous. Thanks!

I used this recipe to make icing for cupcakes and it worked great. The cream cheese was just light enought to spread and pipe with an icing bag but not runny. It holds food color well also.
