Incredable for a hot summer day! Refreshing and satisfing without feeling weighed down. Loved the watermelon in this drink. I never would have thought of putting watermelon in the blender.

Very easy & refreshing. Took the advice listed & used 1/2 the sugar. Used 1/2 cup lemon juice & 1/2 cup lime as we like ours a bit more tart. Great recipe for a hot summer day. And yes....great with vodka or rum for the grown ups.

I had a watermelon themed party and this was certainly a hit. I did cheat, though and just used a frozen lemonaide concentrate can, made it with the directions on the back and omited the "lemonaide" ingredients of this recipe.

Wow this was good. I didn't strain it either. I did add some strawberry vodka and was EXTREMELY pleased with the outcome. Even my husband who doesn't drink "girly" drinks hand some!

I made this the other day and it came out great. The only thing I would do different next time is strain the juice before serving. I also think this taste great with some vodka added, which I will add to the rest of the batch I made.

Delicious, and beautiful to look at. I din't bother to strain it - too lazy and I thought it would remove some of the flavour. I found it did need more lemon juice, though (maybe about 1/4 c). I dissolved the sugar in the water before adding it by heating them on the stove because I didn't want to have to stir it forever. Thanks!

LOVED this recipe! I took the advice of another reviewer and froze my watermelon chunks and added less ice for a more concentrated watermelon flavor. I also added some blueberries that I wanted to get rid of and they gave the drink a little extra color and flavor as well :) Great stuff on a hot day!

I really liked this! Very refreshing, I only added about 1/4 cup of sugar because I had very sweet fruit no extra watter kept it pure fruit and strained it well. The watermelon pulp was to strong for me. I blended it up with crushed ice to make smoothy like drinks, wonderful on these hot days!

I got a so-so watermelon (seedless, thank goodness)at the grocery, and this was the perfect solution! I halved the amount of sugar and used frozen strawberries, and frozen lemon juice from last winter's local crop. It made a lot, was good for a quick breakfast, and I even froze some for yummy popsicles! I liked the chunky texture too. This weekend we'll make another batch for my sister-in-law's and my joint birthday celebration, and spike part of it with adult beverage. The kids will just have to make do with the unleaded version. :-)

Just made this so I could use up some watermelon that I had in my fridge. Unfortunately, my watermelon had seeds, which made the process a lot longer. Get seedless or you will have to strain the seeds out like I did. This drink is really refreshing. It reminds me of aqua frescas that I get here in the summertime. I will make this again, but I might cheat and use lemonade concentrate :) Thanks for a great recipe!

This is REALLY good! I used a seedless watermelon and a scant cup of sugar since my strawberries were not the sweetest. I blended until smooth and see no reason for a strainer. It tastes better as it sits -- the watermelon flavor really comes alive. I'm going to try it this evening with my Bunco Babes and add a little Vodka as suggested by another review. :0)

I only used 1/2cup sugar. My family decided they wanted some of the watermelon to eat, so we used 6 cups watermelon and 1 and 1/2cup strawberries. This recipe was very good and will be used again.

This was very good, but I also did as others suggested and only used 1/2 cup of sugar, boiling it with the water first. I also used fresh squeezed lemons (4 of them), and also added lemon juice. Next time I will probably use 6-7 squeezed lemons...it definitely needed a more lemonade flavor than what it got with the original recipe.

Because hubs prefers raspberries over strawberries and because it's what I had on hand, I made this as written, but used raspberries. Thick, refreshing and delicious, we both enjoyed this pretty drink! Next time, however, I'll cut back on the sugar a bit and blend this with ice cubes rather than water. This is VERY filling, almost like a meal in a glass!

this is actually a great refreshing recipe. Based on other recipes i found on this website i opted to boil the water and sugar and i blended the lemon juice and strawberries before mixing together. it's really good.

The kids LOVED this! I really enjoyed it also! I didn't have any lemons, and so I used 6 Tbsp of lemon juice concentrate. I think that I would either add more next time, or use real lemons. But I still loved it!
