Warm Sweet Onion Spread

SUBMITTED BY: Chris Greissinger

"'This is such a simple appetizer, but it's one of the most delicious I've ever tasted,' says Chris Greissinger of Hollis, New Hampshire. The rich onion mixture is terrific served with crackers or tortilla chips."

Surprising addicting! Delicious on miniature slices of pumpernickel bread. We also like spreading it on warmed pita or as a homemade pizza topping.

I love this recipe! I have been making it for years, my friends and I have named it "Baked Fat." It goes VERY FAST!!! I usually double it to make sure everyone gets a bite.

I have been making this for a while and everybody loves it. It's super easy to make and I can't count the number of people I've had to give the recipe to. I usually just do 2 cups onion, 2 cups mayo and 2 cups swiss cheese, I also add a little romano, salt and pepper.
