I have made a very similar baklava recipe before in the past and it is very good. I do add saffron to the syrup which gives it a nice flavor and aroma.
I wanted to try this particular recipe last night. So I got as far as cooking the baklava for 40 min when I took it out to look at the bottom of it, when the Pyrex dish slid out between my potholders and onto the floor. :(
Instead of eating this great recipe I ended up cleaning it off the floor. Well at least I am thankful that the Pyrex dish did not shatter and is in good shape to try this recipe again sometime in the future :)
