I thought it was okay, my family liked it. I used crumbled sage sausage instead of ham and browned the hashrowns first. It felt like alot of eggs and meat. It needed some more starch, like more potatoes or served on bread or a tortilla maybe.

Good recipe for starters. I used Ore Ida O'Brien potatoes instead of hash brown patties, with the peppers and onions in them, which gave it more flavor. Served it on Christmas morning. Really easy!

Made this for Christmas morning brunch. It was really good, but I was looking for something a little more eggy. Has a good taste. Just was not what I was looking for.

This was really good. We made it for a Christmas brunch and it was the first to be eaten. I thought it would be good idea to use the shredded hashbrowns instead of the patties and cook them first in the oven. It was a bad idea. They never crisped-up so I still had soggy hashbrowns. Next time I will use the patties. But even with the soggy potatoes, it was still really good.

We made this with pre-cooked bacon instead of ham, and placed American cheese slices on top of the hash brown patties before adding the egg mixture. We browned the hash browns beforehand as suggested, and added some finely chopped onion as well. My kids liked this and they don't normally like eggs!

I used shredded potatoes and browned them first as suggested by some other reviewers. My husband loved it. I thought it was good but will try sausage next time just because I'm not crazy about ham.

I'm giving this 4 stars because I think it has a lot of potential. We thought it was a little bland. I will definitley make it again, but I will add some things. Possibly: onions, onion powder, garlic, green chilies etc. It was very easy to put together, I used tator tots and turkey sausage.

This is an easy way to make a holiday breakfast, or even a weekend breakfast, special and stress-free. Like other reviewers, I precooked the hash browns for 15 minutes before adding the other ingredients and added an extra egg. I have made this several times and it is always devoured. It makes good leftovers too.

I made this recipe as is and thought it was very bland. The next time I made it I substituted the cheddar for 2 C mozzarella and one package of boursin herbed cheese. I also used more eggs (between 7 and 8). Have tried it with bacon, sausage, and no meat and either sausage or no meat was the best. The bacon gets kind of gummy. Will definitely make this again!

I substituted Canadian Bacon for the ham in this recipe and it worked great. My family raved about this recipe and several of my kids asked in advance if they could have it for breakfast on their birthdays!

Had this at a friend's house. Loved it but lost the recipe so I came to allrecipes.com and, wouldn't you know, I found it here. Love this website. We had a vegetarian guest so I substituted sauted mushrooms for the ham and it was just as good. I gave it a 4 star because I thought it had too much potato and not enough egg. Maybe I should add more eggs? Thanks for sharing this dish.

Very tasty and easy to make. I used roll sausage (Bob Evans) in place of bacon, and baked the hash browns for 15 min. prior to assembly. This would be equally delicious with veges mixed in (onions, mushrooms, red/green pepper, or even asparagus). I think you can play with the cheeses used, as well, to alter the taste. Family loved it; will definitely make this again!
