This was delicious. I followed another reviewer and used corn beef hash instead of ham, and also used about 10 eggs instead of what was listed. I made this for Mother's Day and everyone enjoyed it.

Easy and tastes great! I followed the suggestions given in baker_scebbi's review and it turned out great. I made the night before except for I waited until right before baking to add the cream of mushroom on top. Turned out great

YUM! This has a little bit of everything all in one. I did bake the hash browns for 10 minutes before adding other ingredients as did some other users. Also, I would recommend buying the Ore-ida hash browns, they fit perfect in the cassorole dish (9 X 13) vs store brand. Store brand you will need to break up to make them fit so that you don't have gaps at the bottom without hash browns. I also used about 3 cups of cheese.

I needed to take something for a work morning meeting and this worked very well. I cooked the hash browns in the oven for 20 minutes first, to make sure they were crispy and would then not have to worry about them going soggy. Then I cooked up 4 sausages and cut them into 1" pieces. Once the hash browns were done, I tossed in the sausages on top, used bacon instead of ham, added chopped mushrooms, an extra egg and then completed the recipe as written. So a great base recipe that you can tweak easily to your tastes. I will definately be making this again, as it ideal for when you have a gathering. It also looked very presentable

Very easy to make. I did used hashbrown potatoes since that is what I had and cooked them for 15 minutes before adding the egg and ham. Only used half the cheese because I thought it seemed like too much but I wish I would have used it all. It did need more! I also added more egg since my husband loves eggs. Will definitely make again!

Quick, easy, delicious! I used almost an entire package of shredded hash browns as the base, squeezed out the water, and baked for almost 20 min. Then added the rest of the ingredients. Definite crowd-pleaser.

very good! Only thing I did was defrost my hashbrowns first and changed up the seasonings in the egg. Will be making this again.

Very Very good - lots of rave reviews on Christmas morning. Though, there isn't much of an egg taste. I think next time I will use half as much cheese and had more milk and egg mixture.

This was an easy tasty breakfast. My son and husband really liked it and it was a great way to use up left over ham from Christmas. I used diced frozen hashbrowns on the bottom and cooked them for 10 minutes before adding the cheese, eggs, and ham. I think next time I make it I will use sausage or bacon or maybe both!

This recipe was a good base to something I decided to tweak. I used shredded fresh red potatoes as the base (fried first in butter garlic powder, salt and pepper) used Bob Evans sausage (1 lb roll) sauteed with onions as the second layer and then used 3 cups cheese, 8 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 can cream of mushroom soup no ground mustard and baked as suggested. YUMMY!

I made this on the evening of Christmas Eve, refrigerated it overnight, and threw it in the oven on Christmas morning to cook while the kids were unwrapping gifts. It was sooo good!!! I made the following changes: I only used about 2.5 to 3 cups of cheese (4 cups seems like SO much); I cooked the frozen hash browns in the toaster oven before putting them in the baking dish; I warmed up a can of corned beef hash to use in place of the cubed ham (we don't really like ham). This was soooo good, and I think the hash was a really good change, but that may just be my personal preference. Overall, this was a really good dish, made a ton, and I'm sure I'll make it again before next Christmas.

Made this recipe this morning for Christmas brunch. I substituted cooked crumbled sage sausage for the ham so therefore did not add salt. I also used about 1/2 of the cheese called for (I don't like alot of cheese). I also cooked the potato patties for about 15 minutes prior to adding the other ingrediants. The casserole turned out perfect, looked awesome and tasted very good! I liked that it was so simple to make.

This is a great, easy recipe. The first time I made it the hashbrowns were soggy. We like ours a little brown and crispy so this time I baked the hashbrown patties alone in the 9 x 13 dish for 10 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients. Followed the rest of the recipe as directed. Yum!

I have been making this recipe for the pass 4 years for our family get together on Christmas morning. We all love it! I did find that it took longer to cook then the specified time, so I let the potatoes thaw just a while before preparing. My family looks forward to this every Christmas!
