This is a great, easy recipe. The first time I made it the hashbrowns were soggy. We like ours a little brown and crispy so this time I baked the hashbrown patties alone in the 9 x 13 dish for 10 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients. Followed the rest of the recipe as directed. Yum!

YUM! This has a little bit of everything all in one. I did bake the hash browns for 10 minutes before adding other ingredients as did some other users. Also, I would recommend buying the Ore-ida hash browns, they fit perfect in the cassorole dish (9 X 13) vs store brand. Store brand you will need to break up to make them fit so that you don't have gaps at the bottom without hash browns. I also used about 3 cups of cheese.

I needed to take something for a work morning meeting and this worked very well. I cooked the hash browns in the oven for 20 minutes first, to make sure they were crispy and would then not have to worry about them going soggy. Then I cooked up 4 sausages and cut them into 1" pieces. Once the hash browns were done, I tossed in the sausages on top, used bacon instead of ham, added chopped mushrooms, an extra egg and then completed the recipe as written. So a great base recipe that you can tweak easily to your tastes. I will definately be making this again, as it ideal for when you have a gathering. It also looked very presentable

This recipe was a good base to something I decided to tweak. I used shredded fresh red potatoes as the base (fried first in butter garlic powder, salt and pepper) used Bob Evans sausage (1 lb roll) sauteed with onions as the second layer and then used 3 cups cheese, 8 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 can cream of mushroom soup no ground mustard and baked as suggested. YUMMY!

Very easy to make. I did used hashbrown potatoes since that is what I had and cooked them for 15 minutes before adding the egg and ham. Only used half the cheese because I thought it seemed like too much but I wish I would have used it all. It did need more! I also added more egg since my husband loves eggs. Will definitely make again!

Made this recipe this morning for Christmas brunch. I substituted cooked crumbled sage sausage for the ham so therefore did not add salt. I also used about 1/2 of the cheese called for (I don't like alot of cheese). I also cooked the potato patties for about 15 minutes prior to adding the other ingrediants. The casserole turned out perfect, looked awesome and tasted very good! I liked that it was so simple to make.

I have been making this recipe for the pass 4 years for our family get together on Christmas morning. We all love it! I did find that it took longer to cook then the specified time, so I let the potatoes thaw just a while before preparing. My family looks forward to this every Christmas!

Quick, easy, delicious! I used almost an entire package of shredded hash browns as the base, squeezed out the water, and baked for almost 20 min. Then added the rest of the ingredients. Definite crowd-pleaser.

very good! Only thing I did was defrost my hashbrowns first and changed up the seasonings in the egg. Will be making this again.

This was delicious. I followed another reviewer and used corn beef hash instead of ham, and also used about 10 eggs instead of what was listed. I made this for Mother's Day and everyone enjoyed it.
