I ran out of baking mix this morning so I looked for a quick easy recipe the kids would like. This one fit the bill! It was easy to mix up and my kids asked for seconds.

My husband and I love to make these waffles on Sunday mornings. They are so quick, delicious and easy to make. They turn out perfect each time.

I will never use another waffle recipe again! I put all the ingredients into a blender to mix and baked beautiful, light and crisp waffles. I even used all whole wheat flour, and they were still light and wonderful.

Husband and kids (ages 6 and 3) LOVED this recipe... I used the whole wheat flour, added a tablespoon of wheat germ, doubled the vanilla, and added a dash of cinnamon. They really are very filling and the only thing I will do differently next time is add a bit more sugar (probably the wheat germ that made it need just a little more sweetness). Overall a very tasty waffle.

I made the waffles with half whole wheat flour and half white flour, and substituted some water for the milk and some shortening for part of the butter. It was only because I ran out of milk and butter/margarine. I loved them. My friend Sam Coleman said they were decent, but he's overly critical.
