OMG! These are "the best" and so easy! I ran out of milk so I only used 1 cup of milk and had to use 3/4 cup of whipping cream for the rest. I used 1 and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. I through all the ingredients in the order listed into the KitchenAid and whipped for a few minutes. These were crunchy, yummy, perfect waffles!!!

VERY good! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I made some changes that gave these a lot more flavor. I did what others suggested and folded the eggs in at the end which gave these waffles a perfect texture (crispy, yet soft on the inside). I also did 1 tsp vanilla instead of 1/2. I added 1 tsp brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Instead of oil, I used 1/2 c. cinnamon applesauce. These were delish, and I will make them again! Thanks!!!

My family loved these waffles! I used half wheat flour and added blueberries. They thought it was better than the betty crocker recipe we usually use.

A good basic recipe that was easy to prepare. I did increase the amount of sugar as we like our waffles sweeter and doubled the vanilla. Perhaps I cooked the waffles for too long but I found them quite tough and crunchy. Next time I'll definitely cut down on the cooking time.

Delicious! I added cinnamon-just because I like it, but they were also wonderful without! Thanks for the recipe!

Very easy and GOOD! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you can kind of taste the baking powder. Produces very nice crispy waffles.

I used this recipe with our new waffle iron and it was great! It was a lot better than I expected, since it doesn't call for beating the egg whites separately, and because I used half whole-wheat flour and half all-purpose. The waffles were toasty outside and cakey inside. Perfect!

These were disappointing. I made the recipe as written and they turned out pretty and golden. However, the texture was dense (despite whipping my eggs) and thick and cakey. I was hoping for something lighter I guess. Perhaps whipping the egg whites seperately would help as some suggested, but that would be a different recipe. Sorry to give a bad review, but these were nothing special. Will not make again.

Most waffle recipes are dense...this one turned out light and fluffy, perfect! The second time we made them we did brown sugar instead of white, and doubled the vanilla, and used raw milk. Even fluffier than before! Great recipe, thanks for sharing it!

If you try whole wheat flour, I strongly do not recommend using all whole wheat flour. We did this, and they turned out very grainy and bland... We also thought the salt to baking powder was off, as we could taste some of a baking powder flavor in ours. Since it had other good reviews though, I might try again with just normal flour.

I use whole wheat flour in this recipes and then make belgin waffles. I warm mixed fruit while I'm making the waffles then top with the fruit and a spoonful of whip cream. Yum.

Good basic recipe for a nice texture, but these are very bland on their own. I made half with cocoa powder added, and the rest with mini chocolate chips. Had to add whip cream and chocolate syrup on top of both to enhance the flavor. As is, these are not for someone with a sweet tooth.

A great waffle recipe for us. It was easy and tasty. The kids liked it with a little syrup. My husband and I enjoyed them straight up - no butter or anything. We did, however, add some chocolate chips, so I'm sure that helped! The changes I made were minor and as follows: 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup white flour; 1 tsp vanilla; 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar. Once the batter was in the belgian waffle maker, I sprinkled chocolate chips on top. I left them in a little extra long to get them crispier since that's how I like them.
