Easy and perfect for someone like me (ie: a person who has never made waffles from "scratch" before). Thank you for posting!

Great basic recipe! I made it exactly as written and it made 14 beautiful waffles in my cuisin art waffle iron. There wasn't anything extra special about these waffles, but you could personalize them with a teaspoon of any extract, such as lemon or maple. Great basic recipe for waffles! Thanks!

Very good basic waffle recipe. I would recommend more salt for my taste but other than that it was really good. Next time I'll try beating the egg whites separate to fold in last as others suggest. A good waffle iron makes a real difference. Try this recipe as written, then play with it to make it your own. You'll love it.

These turn out really good (better than any I have had at any waffle house). They turn out best for me when I use about 1/4 cup per waffle and only grease the waffle maker at the beginning.

Wonderful! We added 1 tsp of brown sugar and some ground flax seed. I also used butter milk instead of regular milk. Wonderful taste and light and airy! We love these!

Love these waffles! I only make 1 change similar to others. I nearly double the sugar. But that's it! I serve warm with sweetened strawberries and freshly whipped cream! The batter does well in the fridge for at least two days covered. The waffles do great in the freezer too! Just microwave for around 20 seconds and then just barely crisp in the toaster. Perfect!

OMG! These are "the best" and so easy! I ran out of milk so I only used 1 cup of milk and had to use 3/4 cup of whipping cream for the rest. I used 1 and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. I through all the ingredients in the order listed into the KitchenAid and whipped for a few minutes. These were crunchy, yummy, perfect waffles!!!

VERY good! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I made some changes that gave these a lot more flavor. I did what others suggested and folded the eggs in at the end which gave these waffles a perfect texture (crispy, yet soft on the inside). I also did 1 tsp vanilla instead of 1/2. I added 1 tsp brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Instead of oil, I used 1/2 c. cinnamon applesauce. These were delish, and I will make them again! Thanks!!!

My family loved these waffles! I used half wheat flour and added blueberries. They thought it was better than the betty crocker recipe we usually use.

A good basic recipe that was easy to prepare. I did increase the amount of sugar as we like our waffles sweeter and doubled the vanilla. Perhaps I cooked the waffles for too long but I found them quite tough and crunchy. Next time I'll definitely cut down on the cooking time.
