I searched a while for a good waffle recipe when I first bought my waffler, and this is the winner! So glad to have found it. I added some blueberries into the batter last time and the waffles were delicious!

Excellent recipe. I was too tired to beat the egg whites separately (lazy cooks unite!) and was surprised at how very light and fluffy these waffles were, with a lovely crispy outside. Yum!

Good recipe. I did beat the egg whites first...I think that adds to the waffles being alittle more light & fluffy! Crisp on the outside and light fluffy on the inside...just the way waffles should be. Add fresh berries & whip cream...yum!

I've made this twice so far. Once with beaten egg whites (I thought I might as well beat them while waiting for the waffle iron to heat up) and once with the egg beaten normally. Both were really delicious and crispy. Beating the whites gave it a very airy crispness, but the recipe really didn't need it. Following the recipe exactly gave a crispy outside/more tender inside texture that I really loved. Wonderful recipe!

They way I made these turned out great. I made these into all healthy waffles. I used King Arthur's Whole Wheat Flour, Organic Vanilla Soy Milk ( can use the low fat kind, although it's already low in fat!), I used Splenda and doubled it as suggested by others. Instead of oil I used a 4 oz jar of baby food. I didn't have applesauce like others suggested so I looked for a baby food applesauce and only found "Apples & Peaches" but it worked just the same! Then to top the waffles I used Smart Balance Omega with Extra Virgin Olive Oil Butter Spread & Maple Grove Farms Sugar Free Syrup. These tasted pretty much like a regular waffle only WAY healthy. Plus with all the fiber you will feel full after one and stay full for a good part of the day!!

So good. Quick, easy, and really tasty. Crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I have tried TONS of waffle recipes that were complicated and time consumming (not to mention took ingrediants that I had to go out and buy just for that one recipe!) and they didn't come out nearly as good as this one.

This recipe yielded a nice light fluffy waffle. I whipped the egg whites separately and folded them into the batter as some other reviewers suggested. I also added a handful of fresh blueberries to the batter. Thanks for a good recipe!

Followed recipe to a "T" and they were the best waffles I have ever made! I used whole wheat flour which made them very filling. I also added some cinnamon because I put it in everything. I topped with some blueberries and maple syrup. Thanks for the recipe!

Very good! Have already made it twice today and plan on freezing extras. For the first batch, I used 2 cups wheat flour instead of the all purpose flour and the waffles had a more grainy texture that I wasn't too fond of. The second batch, I compromised and used 1 cup all purpose flour and 1 cup wheat flour - perfect! Of course, I incorporated the suggestions of other reviewers: 2 Tablespoons of white sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

Just finished a batch of waffles and they were o.k....Like a few of the others i doubled the sugar and vanilla and it still turned out well...Once the waffles were done I put a couple of scoops strawberry icecream on it to have a tasty dessert....

Great recipe! Nice and fluffy! I did health-it-up by using King Arthur whole wheat flour in place of the white, aluminum free baking powder, 2 tbsp real maple syrup for the sugar, olive oil for the veg oil and added a dash of cinnamon.
