Good base recipe. I found the waffles to be bland even after adding pure vanilla and cinnamon. Maybe almond extract would do the trick? Not sure. Other than that these were crispy on the outside and pillowy and moist in the middle.

I've made these twice now for my family and while I don't find anything "special" about them, they are very delicious!

I am no expert on waffles, but this gives nice crispy waffles, though you still need something else to top them with.

Good, but a little too dense for my taste. I like them crispy, light, and airy.

This was an excellent recipe. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is that the recipe said you could keep the batter in the fridge for up to a week. I made the batter one day and got amazing waffles, the kids gobbled them up. The next day I pulled the batter out of the fridge, whisked it up, and put it in the waffle iron. It was so runny it ran out of the iron and onto the counter. Not a good recipe to keep in the fridge!!!

These were great! After reading the reviews I did alter a few things. I used 1/4 C of sugar, 1tsp of vanilla, and only 3 1/2 tsp of baking powder. Turned out delicious!

Family loves these, very light. You can add any fruit to these or cinnamon. I make an extra batch to freeze so the kids can take them out & pop them in the toaster, much better than Eggo Waffles :)

These waffles were delicious... I made only a few changes and they came out great. I added about 3 tablespoons of sour cream, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of vanilla and melted butter instead of the oil. Everyone loved them!

These waffles had great texture--crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. I doubled the sugar like others said and added a little more vanilla...but still found them to be very bland. We are not a big sugar eating family so I dont want to add any more sugar-so next time I may cut back on the baking powder. My husband ate his second one with peanut butter and that seemed to help.
