"This sandwich is super easy to make, and children can help with the assembly or, if supervised, the waffle iron. Use multigrain or whole wheat sandwich bread for a chewy treat."

roma (plum) tomato, thinly sliced
salt and ground black pepper to taste
thickly-sliced pieces multigrain bread
spicy brown mustard
fresh spinach, or to taste
part-skim mozzarella cheese
chopped sweet onion
A fun change for a sandwich. I made mine as written, and added some ham slices to DH. The cheese did make a mess in the waffle iron, but I was expecting that. Thanks Desiree, for sharing. Served this with 'Yummy Cheese Fries' and 'Spicy Fry Sauce' from AR and a tossed salad. Not a light meal, but one that we enjoyed.
Fun and delicious! Great combo of flavors...LOVED IT! Thanks for sharing. :)
