These are by far the best sandwiches to serve your guests and yourself! The ingredients are fresh, delicious, popular and fills your mouth with marinated joy. You can usually find the high-caloric sandwich (variety of meat on mayonnaise) in your local Vietnamese baguette shop but here is a hearty Vegetarian version (if you do not use fish sauce) using portabello mushrooms.

This is a very filling sandwich, great to make ahead of time and keep warm in the oven for a Superbowl party or any other time. But you better like cheese!

It tried for years to make a cheesesteak as good as the take our sub shops of Southeastern Massachusetts. I think these are about as close as you can come at home. Freezing the steak the day before makes it easy to cut into very thin slices.

A simple and easily adjusted broiled open face sandwich concoction. You can use beef, ham, turkey, chicken, etc. You can also adjust the veggies. Just make sure the cheese is always on top to pull it together. The combined flavors of the ingredients that I've listed blows my mind every time I make this. Eat with a knife and fork!

This is a healthy melt in your mouth sandwich if you are tired of the traditions. Whole wheat bread is served open face with cream cheese, tomatoes, alfalfa sprouts and mozzarella cheese, then baked to perfection. These are sure to impress the pickiest of eaters!

These meatballs have a Vietnamese flair and are quite tasty! They can be served as an appetizer with a dipping sauce, or served with rice as a meal. I like them on a bed of hot jasmine long grained rice that's been cooked in a rice cooker!

This is a true California flavor explosion! This is a great sandwich to eat during Lent when you can't eat meat, or for a vegetarian meal anytime. You may toast the bread if you like, or add lettuce, cheese, or bacon.
