These were SO yum. I used buttermilk, added a little vanilla flavoring and because I only had a small green apple and it wasn't enough for the recipe, I threw in a handful and a half of shredded carrot. These cooked up thick and fluffy. The kids and I loved them. We had them with Absolute Best Pancake Syrup which made them even better. I'll make these again for sure.

Pretty good. I use a large Fuji apple, which yields more than one cup. Also, I substituted 1/4 cup of the AP flour with wheat germ and rolled oats, and used whole wheat flour for the rest.

This recipe is wonderful!! I doubled the cinnamon, added more sugar and a few drops more of milk. They turned out great!! My oldest daughter ate 2 plates. This recipe also makes a LOT. Other recipes I have tried barely made enough for our family of 5 but we had some batter left over on this one. GREAT all the way around.

These were good.. I just couldn´t taste the apple flavour too much in them... I guess I would add more next time. And they didn´t turn out as light and fluffy as I thought they would.. the batter was very thick as well..

These were great! I chopped the apple into tiny little pieces instead of shredding. It gave the pancakes a nice texture. I also followed the advice of other reviewers and doubled the cinnamon and sugar. Served them with whipped cream. Yum :)

Like some of the other reviewers, we sadly found these pancakes to be kind of bland. I used Braeburn apples, which have some tartness to them, but maybe this recipe really needs a Granny Smith. Also, I didn't realize until after I had made it, that the recipe doesn't call for that pinch of salt that most pancake recipes do, so I would try that as well. Good idea, just didn't taste quite right to us.

These were very good! I especially thank you because my picky kids liked them. It was SO easy to make and I always have all the ingredients on hand so it's a win, win situation.

These were ok. I found them to be alittle bland, thought they smelled better than they tasted. But my son ate them and asked for more. So that is always a good thing. Thanks

This recipe was awesome!! Better than any other I have ever tried. They taste great alone or with a tiny bit of maple syrup.

I made these this morning for my fiance. He had been craving his grandmothers apple pancakes. I have never made them before so I was unsure of what they should taste or look like. His grandmother has been gone for 4 years now and I really wanted to make them right. He took one bite and said they were PERFECT. I followed the recipe exactly. I used 2 small fuji apples and served them with warmed dark maple syrup. He said they tasted just like his grandmothers. Thank you for the great recipe. I will be sure to make these again and again.

These pancakes were dense and rather bland. I tripled the cinnamon and there still wasn't much taste... I think a bit of salt (maybe 1/2 tsp) would help the flavor a lot.

I thought these pancakes were a bit bland and dense. But I see much potential and will probably work with the recipe a bit more to tweak it to my liking. So far, I have substituted 1 c. of the flour for wheat flour, and I added a bit more milk to the batter to make it less dense. I agree that there needs to be more cinnamon... and perhaps allspice?

I tried this recipe today for breakfast and really enjoyed it. I felt the batter was perhaps a bit on the thick side but a tad more milk next time will correct that. This may not have been the recipes fault but the weather here today. All in all, I will definitely be making these pancakes again in the future. I made cinnamon cream syrup to go with them and that turned out to be a perfect choice.
