We love this chili! Throw all the ingredients in a crockpot - so easy. I used red beans and chick peas in place of the pinto and kidney beans. I omit the zucchini and kick up the spices for more heat. Serve topped with chopped yellow onion, shredded cheddar cheese, dollop of sour cream and oyster crackers with a side of Golden Sweet Cornbread (an Allrecipes recipe by: bluegirl). DELICIOUS!

Very simple to make and is done so quickly. I accidentally left out the green chilies but it still tasted great. That is probably better for me because I don't like foods too spicy. Took to work for a potluck and it was gone quickly. Would make again and possibly add more veggies like carrots and corn or switch out the types of beans.

I skipped the tomato paste, added 1 28oz can whole tomatoes, and the recipe was healthy, very delicious on a cold day and inexpensive to make!

I didn't have any hominy or canned green chilis on hand so I subbed half a jalapeno pepper and a sprinkle of cayenne. I also added a chopped green bell pepper. Topped it with cheese and cilantro and served with corn bread muffins. It tasted great. I think next time instead of using a 28oz can of crushed tomatoes, I'll use one 14oz can of diced tomatoes and another 14oz can of of crushed. I like having the chunks of tomatoes in my chili.

This chili is very good. It is my boyfriend's favorite meal and we have it quite often. I made a few modifictions to the recipe over time. I use a few garlic cloves instead of garlic powder. I don't use hominy because it is not easy to find where I live, instead I use one can of corn. I also add more vegetables: a few carrots and one red pepper. I also add some cayenne pepper to spice it up a bit more.

Really good recipe...didn't look very promising in the pot as it cooked though! My vegetarian boyfriend was craving chili and he was very pleased! Serve with cornbread or jalapeno bread...very good!
