In a nonstick skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. Add ginger and garlic; saute 1 minute longer. Add the teriyaki sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, salt and hot pepper sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add rice and mixed vegetables; cook and stir over medium heat until vegetables are tender.

A twist on the average fried rice - a culmination of some of my favorite Asian flavors thrown into a common dish. This recipe is very easy to adjust according to personal tastes; you can make it about as strong or as mild as you prefer. Compliments Teriyaki beef well, or can be easily modified into a stir-fry meal.

We like this one. The rice is cooked in pineapple juice. A very good beginning. And then its added to a wok-full of tofu, mushrooms, soy sauce, green onions and carrots. Garnish with crushed pineapple and strips of cooked egg. Yumm!

Chock-full of mushrooms, celery and green onions, this hearty side dish is an ideal accompaniment to cool-weather meals. Our Test Kitchen staff seasoned it with garlic, thyme and rosemary so it complements nearly any entree. Plus, it makes a big batch, so you can use the extra in the next two dishes.
