Great texture, yummy and gooey. The chocolate flavor is not as rich as i was hoping it to be. I am not vegan, but to make them more chocolately, one could add vegan chocolate chips. And a bit of coffee would do the trick also!

I just made these and they turned out soooo GOOD! I cut the oil (I used olive oil and it's delicious) to 1/2 a cup and used 1 & 1/2 cups water with it - I also added pecans. It took about twice as long to cook for me but I used a large pie pan and it was pretty full. Anyways, YUM! Thanks!! I'll make these again and probably try to use apple sauce next time for a healthier version. Oh yeah, and make sure to use raw sugar so they stay vegan! :-)

My pastors daughter is allergic to eggs so I decided to make this recipe..I have a great egg free chocolate cake recipe from this site but these brownies were not good! They were extremely crumbly and very crusty on the outside by the time the inside was done. I also think they have a weird taste! But I gave them 2 stars instead of one bc for some odd reason my husband liked them.

Pretty good...not your typical dense fudge brownie taste, but still delicious. I halved the recipe and baked for 25 min in 8x8 glass pan. I subbed half the oil for applesauce, used half sugar in the raw and half splenda, and used 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate bar. Tastes more like very moist chocolate cake/chocolate bread pudding rather than dense, fudgy brownie, but I am happy!

Everyone saying "it's too crumbly", perhaps you can dry adding baking soda to the mix or use dutch process cocoa powder. Mine are still baking right now, but I added baking soda to mine and I didn't AP flour so I had to use self-rising. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I find lots of vegan recipes use spelt flour, and I cannot eat it, so I'm glad to find a recipe with all purpose! Made this for a veggie night, and they were a hit!

This is the first Vegan dessert I've ever made... & they turned out better than "normal" brownies that I've made before... turned them into two bite brownies with my mini-cupcake pan... Yummy!!
