INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, or 16 ounces frozen
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon dry white wine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection® Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection® Coarse Grind Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted*

DIRECTIONS

  1. Rinse and trim green beans. Add beans to boiling water. Cook, uncovered, on medium-high heat 7-8 minutes. Drain. (For frozen green beans, cook following package directions. Drain.)
  2. Melt butter in a small saucepan; stir in wine, vanilla, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer 2 minutes.
  3. Toss butter sauce with green beans. Top with toasted almonds.

FOOTNOTE

  • *To toast sliced almonds, spread almonds in a single layer on baking sheet; bake at 350 degrees F for 3-5 minutes.
