This chocolate frosting is wonderful, though I did add 1 more T. of cocoa.I frosted cupcakes then placed broken pretzels and drizzled melted chocolate chips over that. They tasted better and looked better then the ones from Wal mart.

This is the only recipe that I use for vanilla frosting. I only used 1.5 cups of the sugar and about 1 tablespoon of milk. I added the milk in small amount at a time until it reached the thickness of the frosting that I wanted. I always make 1.5 recipes to frost 12 cupcakes.

Perfect frosting when you're in a pinch. I did add a bit to much liquid which made it a tad runny, but the taste was wonderful. This will probably be my go-to from now on.

Worked perfectly for me just as the recipe is written. I used unsalted stick butter which may be the difference in some of the other reviews saying the icing came out too thin. Mine was nice and thick...perfect for frosting.
