Though these rolls are yummy, there just wasn't quite enough topping/sauce on them for our family. They also stuck to the pan pretty badly, even though it was greased. The taste of the rolls themselves is excellent however!

I am a Family and Consumer Science (Home Ec.) teacher and I was looking for a recipe for my quick bread lab. I found this one and it looked great. I made it over the weekend using the recipe as it was written and it came out ok. The dough was bland and there wasn't a lot of topping. I made a few adjustments as my kids made the recipe through out the day and by the end of the day, we had what we feel is a great recipe. The changes we made include: using 4 T. of butter flavored shorting in the dough, using 3/4 C. sugar, 3/4 C. oj and, 4 T. of butter for the topping. All of my students loved these and I will be making them from now on with my classes.

These were really good. The "glaze" is very runny when 1st prepared, but the moisture cooks off in the oven and makes a nice gooey bottom. Will these make again!

THESE WERE VERY GOOD NOT TO SWEET NOT TO BLAND JUST PERFECT. THE ONLY VARIATION WE MADE WAS WE USED POWDERED SUGAR INSTEAD OF REGULAR SUGAR IN THE GLAZE. THIS IS A PERFECT RECIPE TO MAKE WITH THE KIDS BECAUSE THERE ARE EASY STEPS THAT KIDS WILL ENJOY DOING. THE FLAVORS ALL MELD TOGETHER WITHOUT BEING OVERPOWERING. PERFECT FOR A BEGINNER BAKER AND PRO ALIKE. KUDOS TO RECIPE SUBMITTER THANK YOU THIS WILL NOW BE SAVED IN MY ALL TIME FAVORITES.

I can't decide if these were more delicious or easy to make, but they are definately both! They have all of the lovely flakiness of a biscuit with a sticky, orangy, spicy glaze that is just amazing. I added a little nutmeg and a little cardamom to the sugar and cinnamon mixture, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Thanks for posting this, I'll be using it often.

Delicious! I remember making these in Home Ec class 20 years ago, and I've been looking for the recipe for a long time now. I made these for my kids for breakfast today, and they were fantastic! I ended up making a bit more of the topping than the recipe called for, and it just made it gooey-er and better. I'll definitely be keeping this recipe for later use.
