I made this recipe yesterday and I'm at a loss to the measurements used in the recipe. It states to use a 5 oz box of instant pudding. Seriously, I had some of both the large and small boxes. The largest box was 1.5 ounces. So I used two large boxes and two small boxes for a total of 5 oz. If they'd been made by the directions on the boxes it would have taken 10 cups of milk. Using the recipe as written it was a thick mess so I kept adding liquids to the mix. I ended up using at least a quart of milk, two 8 oz packages of cool whip and 16 oz of sour cream in order to achieve a pudding consistency. Could the original recipe have been for 1/2 and ounce of pudding mix, i.e. .5 ounces?? Whatever, be warned that you're going to need much more than 2 cups of milk if you actually use 5 ounces of instant pudding mix. The flavor of the finished product was okay but not significantly better than simply adding 3 cups of milk as my 1.5 oz box directed. I won't make this version again.
