Uncle Earl's NC BBQ Sauce

"Hot and spicy sauce, great on pulled pork or grilled chicken. If you have a pressure canner, make a big batch to can, and store for up to one year."

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 1 (46 fluid ounce) bottle ketchup
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup Texas style hot sauce

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large saucepan or soup pot, stir together the ketchup, cider vinegar, sugar, butter, red pepper flakes and hot sauce. Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is heated through. Use right away, or store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
