These were great. I left a bit of the flesh in each shell and that helped. They did get a bit dry and I had to add more milk which I think is because my potatoes were huge. But good combination of flavors.

If this doesn't get a 5 star rating then something had to be done wrong. These are absolutely amazing. My husband drools like a dog when he comes home and finds out we are having these. The bacon is a must have on these. The potato mixture that goes back into the potato "shell" is actually wonderful just by itself for mashed potatoes! Mmmmmm! I did try and "cook" the potatoes in the microwave instead of the oven for 10-15 minutes but the microwave makes the "shell" too soft and it tears while scooping the insides out. You must cook these in the oven! Make this recipe. You will love it!

Excellent! The only change I made was to add the milk gradually so they wouldn't get too runny -- I ended up not needing all of it to get them the consistency we like. A delicious treat!

This is a great recipe! The only think that I changed was replacing the green onions with chives. The green onions were a bit strong for my family. Oh, and I always use the precooked bacon and I mix about 1/3 of it in the potatoes and the rest goes on top.

We made these one night and they were really good. I should've let them cook longer because the flesh was really hard to remove and resulted in some gaping wholes. Next time we'll get the assembly line going and make them look really pretty. Perfect recipe tho!

These had a really nice taste to them. It is acutally the first time I have ever made twice baked potatos and I brought them to a BBQ and everyone said they were excellent. I made them exactly how the recipe states. Thanks

My husband and daughter loved these. I rubbed the outside of the potatoes with olive oil and garlic salt prior to baking. I used smart balance butter, skim milk, and fat-free sour cream in addition to the rest of the ingredients. My family couldn't even taste the difference. Next time I will use reduced fat cheese since I am sure it would not taste any difference. I sprinkled cheese and bacon bits and then baked for about 15 minutes.

This dish is amazing and easy. I am not much of a cook myself but I was asked to make it for my In-laws and was very nervous, I just followed the recipe and it was so amazing they are asking me to make it every time I go to visit.

Made this as an alternative to our usual holiday potato dish. It was great to have done ahead of time and just pop in the oven at the last minute. Looks so impressive but it quite easy to make. My family raved about them. Thank you.

These were really good. I added the milk slowly till I got the right consistency - didn't use the amount stated but less. Also used about 3 oz. of cream cheese. I had smaller potatoes so cut the top third off then scooped out and refilled. Great to make ahead of time (several days) then they are ready to put in the oven.

This is an excellent basic recipe. Toppings could also be varied by using fried onions and mushrooms, brocolli etc. Also the flavor could be changed up with different cheeses. The possibilites are endless. I did not use the milk and added the sour cream, butter, salt and pepper to taste. Mashing was done with a hand masher rather than a mixer and I folded in the green onions, bacon and cheese before filling the potato shells.
