Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. In large saucepan over medium heat, combine mushroom soup, processed cheese, butter, milk, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted. Stir in noodles and heat through.

My family doesn't care for mushrooms, so I substituted a can of cream of chicken soup. Tasted great!

This recipe had an unpleasant aftertaste and the sauce wasn't sufficient to cover 16 ounces of cooked noodles adequately.

This dish was very simple and tasty enough. I used shredded colby jack because that's what I had on hand, so I had to double the milk to keep the sauce from turning into paste. Definitely had to add plenty of salt and pepper to taste, and I added some veggies to give it a healthy kick. Would make again anytime.

I mixed in cubed, boneless chicken, and it made the perfect dinner meal.

I used about 3/4 of a 16 oz. bag of noodles to make this dish. I'm glad I didn't use the whole bag because there wouldn't have been enough sauce for my liking. I added a little extra milk, and some boneless chicken to this, I didn't even USE the garlic powder (I didn't have any!). It came out really good! Will make again.

It was quick and easy!! My family loved it!!! I make it all the time now, especially when I'm in a hurry. Also, if you add some olive oil to the noodles when they are cooking, it makes a difference when you drain them, they don't stick together as much. Otherwise, it was terrific!!

try making it with cream of chicken and angel hair pasta and it tastes better

Yum! This was great! I was reluctant to try it based on the ingredients it called for. I decided on it because it was quick to prepare. My husband, who does not care for egg noodles, loved it. I added sauteed chicken breast and used whipping cream instead of milk. ...making it even more sinful. Add brocolli, asparagus or peas. Tasty dish. Great for kids too.
