This concoction is a result of my experimental efforts in trying to copy a favorite Greek restaurant's tzatziki sauce. Serve with gyros, pita bread, chips, or raw veggies.

This is a Greek yogurt sauce made with cucumbers and fresh mint. It's perfect for gyros, dipping raw vegetables, etc. Combine chopped onion with the mixture if desired. Low-fat or nonfat yogurt may be used.

Try it with all your favorite raw vegetables. Tzatziki sauce is also a great way to cool the mouth after a bite of spicy food.

A Greek dip with a pungent garlic flavor. Good served with hot pita bread triangles. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to develop the flavor. If you prefer, use parsley in place of the mint.

Yogurt takes some of the caloric bite out of this creamy green dip--perfect as a potato topper or alongside fresh crudite.

This is something I made with my Mom growing up. Truly a wonderful Greek accompaniment to many meals, especially meats, or as a dip for veggies and pita bread. Strained yogurt may be found at Greek groceries and specialty shops, or use the method listed in the steps. Adjust the amount of garlic to taste. Opa!

Magpie's cool and refreshing cucumber and yogurt sauce is made with mint and dill. It is a perfect complement to falafel, gyros, or other Greek, Indian, Russian or Armenian dishes.

This cool and healthy dip can be served along side rice and meat, or simply with bread. No Persian meal is complete without Maast-o khiar! This dish is best if refrigerated for a few hours, but if you are strapped for time feel free to serve after mixing.
