Lighter than air, these rich, fried yeast cakes are simply made of flour, eggs, sugar, shortening and milk. They are best when eaten while still warm.

This is the only bread recipe I use! It's very basic and always great. I grew up on it, so I continue to make it in memory of my special Granny! Enjoy this with your kids or grandkids and make some memories! God bless!

Simple White Bread

There 's no waiting for the yeast to proof, and no blending a little of this, and then a little of that. Just mix the ingredients together all at once -dissolved yeast, powdered milk, oil, flour, and so on -knead the dough and away you go!

A great white bread that uses the food processor. It's a good bread to make if you're in a hurry.

Our family's favorite! We got this from a neighbor and have never seen it anywhere else and we've made it for over 20 years. Wonderful right out of the oven, slathered with butter. It has the subtle flavors of dill and buttermilk with a tender crumb.

This recipe for Hard Do Bread (hard dough bread) is similar to the one sold in West Indian stores. It's a simple white bread that's just slightly sweet.
