I just made it last night and I am really impressed. I've never been a fan of turnips, but had a LOT of them in my CSA this week. I followed this recipe but added one fuji apple and topped the whole thing with cheddar cheese. It's almost gone now, and I'm wondering if I should get MORE turnips to make us another! Highly Recommended! I think that peeling them and boiling them with a bit of sugar makes all the difference.

This was my entire family's first time having turnips, and I must say. I was extremely impressed! Keeper recipe! Im only bummed we didn't double the recipe!

Added about 2 Tbsp minced onion and 2 Tbsp parmesan to the turnips after mashing. Didn't have enough turnips to equal 1.5 lbs so I threw in a potato. Came out great.

A delicious way to prepare turnip. I used cream instead of milk and it was super creamy, even my husband who doesn't like turnip ate seconds!

My husband loved it. I was on the fence. I don't care for veggies but I try to find recipes that disguise the veggies so I'll eat them. Next time I would mix the bacon in. And I added the cheese to the top. I really enjoyed the top. The rest was questionable for me. And I even added crushed black pepper but still needed something for me. But I'm real sensitive to food texture.

Turnips are extremely unpopular in our house, and I turned to this recipe to use the allotment from our CSA. The souffle was good, and the turnips were eaten, but I can't help but think that it was a bit plain. A couple of more ingredients such as some cheddar cheese, a small diced onion and maybe some chopped flat leaf parsley would have made the dish a 5-star offering.
