Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a casserole dish with 2 teaspoons butter.
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook angel hair in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large pot over medium heat; cook and stir celery until it begins to soften, 1 minute. Stir mushrooms into celery; cook and stir until mushrooms are softened, 3 minutes more.
  4. Remove vegetables from skillet; melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter and whisk flour into hot butter to make a paste. Slowly whisk chicken broth and bring to a simmer; reduce heat to low and cook, whisking constantly, until sauce is thickened. Mix in cream, sherry, salt, and white pepper.
  5. Fold turkey, celery, and mushrooms into sauce; mix in angel hair pasta. Transfer mixture to prepared casserole dish and sprinkle panko crumbs on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until sauce is bubbling and crumb topping has browned, about 30 minutes.

WOW!! Made this last night hoping it tasted like the Stouffer's tetrazzini. If I hadn't made it myself I would have sworn I was eating Stouffer's. I didn't change a thing and it was perfect. My whole family loved it. This is definitely a keeper.

I'm sorry to say I found this rather bland. Maybe Stouffer's is; I've never had it. My mother always put parmesan in her tetrazzini, so I added some and that helped... I think onion or a bit of garlic added to the sauteed veggies would help. I will say that the sauce was the right consistency and the pasta/sauce ratio was very good.

While making this my husband said "I'm not going to like that" He's now on his third helping. This would be equally good made with chicken and make sure you only use the 6 oz of pasta or you will have a dry casserole. I broke pasta in half for a smaller bite. I used buttered bread crumbs per personal preference. I also used a dry sherry. This is a very good and easy anytime dish. I also want to mention this says it's 6 servings. I believe it is 3 maybe 4. Thank You for the recipe!

I had had Turkey tetrazzini in the states seveal years ago and loved it. Made this for lunch today. had all the ingreds., bar turkey. But I did had 1/2 a cooked chook (chicken to you lot in the states)Grabbed a bowl, walked down to the bottom paddock and picked mushrooms. How good is that for freshness? This turned out soooooo!!!!! yummy. Thanks for the recipe Margieatk I will make this over and over again.

This was delicious and DEAD ON the "original", which I have always loved. I subbed lowfat ingredients for butter and heavy cream, and was still almost exactly as I remember it. My husband went back for seconds, which he usually doesn't do!

Made it just as instructed (minus the mushrooms, which we don't care for) and LOVE IT. Grew up on the Stouffers version, and this is about as close as one can come :) Even better, I can customize it now instead of picking out the mushrooms haha

Made this with leftover turkey from thanksgiving dinner. It tastes just like the Stouffer's dinner I remember from my kid days. It was always one of my favorites. This recipe is easy to make.
