Simple. Best if you start it as the french base sauce by melting the butter and mixing flour in slowly then add the broth etc. Also, I cut back on some of the parm cheese so it wasn't too salty and added mushrooms and peas to make a bit healther for the children. It is a simple all around good dish that all my children will eat.

Awesome when modified to add more depth of flavor. While cooking the spagetti, I melted butter in a large Dutch oven on the stove. Added 2 stalks chopped celery, 1/4 cup diced onion, and 2 teaspoons minced garlic. Sauteed until mostly softened. Added flour little by little. Added broth, milk, parmesan, and chopped turkey. Stirred in the spaghetti to mix well, then dumped into a greased 13x9 pan. Sprinkled with Italian-style bread crumbs and baked 50 minutes. Next time, I'll add peas and/or diced carrots. Husband and picky teenager loved this and amazingly, they were the ones to suggest that adding veggies would be ok. Wow!

I made the mistake of stirring the mixture with some of the spaghetti on top. It cooked too much and was crunchy. Next time I will leave it alone and it will be excellent. Can't wait to make it again.

Great tasting recipe. I did what others suggested bu adding some garlic, salt and pepper and topping with Italian bread crumbs. Yummy!

Awesome recipe as originally made, kids love it, asked for seconds, and then asked for the leftovers. We've also made it half 'n' half, half as original for the kids, and half spicy. Just add your extras to one half when moving to the baking pan.

Made this last night and used up a lot of my leftover turkey. Yeah! My hubby and I thought it was delicious. My 19-year-old daughter thought it was too rich. I did add 1/3 extra cup of parm to the top and some celery, but I don't think it affected the overall results very much (I know there are people who hate reviews that are not strictly based on the original!). I would absolutely make this again.

Sauteed 1 large chopped onion in 1/2 c olive oil (instead of butter) and added several cloves of chopped garlic when the onions were nearly done, then stirred the flour in. Taste the sauce just before combining with the spaghetti, depending on how your chicken stock is flavored, you might want to add some salt (I added about 1/2 tsp) and pepper. Also added leftover steamed broccoli florets to the mix, mounded everything into a 9x13" glass pan (it all fit, but just barely) and baked 40 minutes. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving, to absorb any excess liquid. Husband, 5-year-old son, and I all loved it.

Very good base recipe. I took the advice of many and sauted some onion, garlic, and mushrooms with the butter. I cut the recipe in half and cooked it for 40 minutes, and it came out a little to dry. Perhaps that is because I used tapioca flour since I have to cook gluten free. Next time, I will increase the milk and broth by 50%. I think doubling the sauce would be too much.

Great recipe! I used a few of the modifications that I read from other reviews and tried a few adaptions of my own. I used half of the butter that the recipe called for and sauteed a half of onion & a small can of mushrooms before adding the flour. Once I added in the broth and milk, I also added in a splash or two of Marsala wine. This really added a nice flavor to the finished product. I also topped the dish with Italian breadcrumbs before putting into the oven. My oven always runs a bit low, so I cooked this at 360 degrees for 40 minutes, but it was ready around 35 minutes. My husband loved this so much, he went back for seconds!

We loved this dish... I was all out of Turkey so I used chicken and it was great. I cut it in half just to try it but next time I will make the full amount. Hubby says it would be good if we used shrimp. I will try it for him but I am not much of a Sea food person unless it is deep fried LOL!!! A keeper for use!!!

Great great great!!! Made this with our turkey leftovers tonight and it was perfect. I did sautee garlic with the butter and added a little salt and pepper to my sauce. Used about 1 C of cheese in the sauce and that was plenty. I did not add anything to it (picky kids) but mushrooms would be great as would peas. Will also try this with leftover ham. Thanks for an easy AND delicious recipe!

This made SO MUCH that I reserved 1/2 of the sauce/turkey mxture (w/ mixed veggies). I'll make a pot pie w/ the other half for another night. I also had some left over fresh herbs - I added these to the mixture. I wonder how it would taste to substitute cooking white wine for some of the broth....

Four stars because I felt the noodles were too dry. I lost a little bit of broth as my pot boiled over, but also, I failed to read review comments before hand which said to cut bake time by about 20 minutes. Next time I'll be sure to read comments. My little one, however, loved it.!
