Turkey Roll Sushi

"Easy wrap recipe. Great for snacks. Customize until your heart's content. This recipe is forgiving. I eyeballed everything until it was how I wanted it, so these measurements aren't exact. Can't wait to hear what modifications everyone comes up with."

  1. Mix spinach, cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, pickled peppers, spring onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes together in a bowl. Spread cream cheese mixture, about 1-inch wide, over the top portion of each tortilla, reserving about 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture for sealing.
  2. Arrange turkey onto each tortilla below the cream cheese mixture section. Spread a thin line of reserved cream cheese mixture below the turkey section of each tortilla for sealing. Starting at the end with the most cream cheese mixture, roll each tortilla around the filling, sealing together with the opposite end with small amount of cream cheese mixture. Cut 1/2-inch-wide slices from roll creating turkey 'sushi' rolls.

  • Sprinkle more cheese if desired in another row below the turkey before rolling.
  • Wipe knife after each slice to keep rolls clean.

I wanted this for my lunch and really liked it. As the submitter suggested, this is a perfect recipe for customizing with whatever you happen to have. Since I didn't have pickled peppers, I subbed dill pickles. I also felt that the amount of garlic called for would be too much, so I just sprinkled and tasted until I liked the flavor. While I ate this for lunch, I can really see it on an appetizer tray as well.

Even my husband who hates wraps loved it. I substituted cream cheese with Boursin cheese added only spinach, pickled peppers and cheddar cheese according to recipe, it was delicious! Thanks

I love this! The only change I made was reducing recipe for 2 servings which I ate by myself(oops my bad). Thanks for a great recipe.

I'm not trying to be mean when I say this... The name of this dish needs to be changed. When I was searching for a good sushi recipe this one came up. This is not sushi. The definition of sushi is sour rice. There isn't any rice anywhere in this recipe. I am part Japanese and I find the word "sushi" being used in the title to be offensive and deceiving. I'm sure this isn't a bad tasting dish. But tortillas are never found in sushi of any kind. Why not call this recipe "Spicy Turkey Tortilla Wrap"? Or maybe "Spicy Turkey Burrito"? Both of those names make way more sense than Turkey Roll Sushi.
