This was a delicious and easy recipe. I made it with lamb and chicken instead of turkey to make it more authentic Greek - it was a big hit!

This is SO delicious!! I actually had my DH grill the tenderloin which I think added a lot of flavor. I made a different tzatziki sauce that is listed on this site so I can't rate that part of the recipe (try the other one, it's amazing!) I also used wheat wraps instead of pita bread which worked out really well! Don't leave out the feta cheese, it really adds something great!

These were great! They tasted wonderful even though I inadvetently defrosted a pork loin instead of turkey. I think you could use any meat in this recipe and come out with the same great results. Thank you! My family was thrilled to find this on their plate at dinner.

This was a great recipe, easy to make and really a different week night meal. My husband loved it! We usually make the tzeki sauce with yogurt but the sourcream/dill was good too. I highly recommend this to others. For the Greek Seasoning I used the recipe found on this same site.

Seriously delicious. We ate these 2-nights in a row. I used ground turkey and it turned out great. Tip: Don't fall for the Extra Lean turkey, get the regular (7% fat I think?). It is still lean, more moist and and holds the flavors of the seasoning perfectly. Be generous with your greek seasoning. Tzatziki sauce: Whole fat plain yogurt is the way to go (or 2% if you must). Use that as your base, then grate in cucumber, add a splash of fresh lemon juice and a pinch of dill. I also grated in two cloves garlic (sprinkle cloves with salt first for even flavor). If you have a gas stove, toast the pitas over the burner using tongs. GREAT dish - thanks!

This was pretty good for a gyro craving. I substituted steak strips I had on hand and it tasted just as good. The sauce wasn't as flavorful as more traditional gyros I have had.

I thought this was delicious! I made a few minor changes because I didn't have some of the ingredients but it was still yummy! (I used deli sliced turkey, mini wheat pitas and ate this like an open faced sandwich.) I will make this again soon! THANKS!

First and foremost, this was delicious! I just happened to have Turkey Tenderloin, purchased on clearance for $2 a pound on hand, and had gone to the NC Farmers Market and purchased fresh goat Feta cheese w/ Rosemary & Garlic. I wanted to use both items, and this recipe fit the bill. Then, I just happen to have on hand the Tzatiki ingredients as well. Let's say it was meant to be. Suggestions: make the Tzatiki sauce (cukes, onion, sour cream, dill, lemon juice) before browning the turkey becauce. Also I did cube the turkey because I had pretty small pitas on hand. Speaking of the turkey a 1/2 pound of turkey is not enough for 4 people. We had almost a 1 lb tenderloin and it worked out nicely between 3 people. We warmed those in the microwave on the bakery/bread setting, and they were perfect. The whole thing came together quickly. My mom, and my husband were both impressed. Thanks for this one, it will definitely become part of my rotation!
