I think this casserol is a good idea for your leftover Thanksgiving turkey, however, do NOT put the casserol under the broiler for 5 minutes at the end. I only did it for 2 minutes and it burnt the top of the casserol. Make sure the broiler is on low and watch it while you have the casserol broiling. Otherwise, I thought the casserol was a little dry and could be a little creamier.

My family raved about this. I did as others suggested and increased the cheese and added a can of mixed vegetables. I didn't have elbow macaroni so I used spirals. I served 3 men and me and have NO leftovers. I had to fight for my share. Next time I will try it with ham. I didn't run it under the broiler as it wasn't needed.

Yum! We loved this recipe! I did make some changes, though. First of all, I took other’s suggestions and added veggies. I had a bag of mixed corn, carrots, peas, and green beans, I threw in a few handfuls of that. Next, to the white sauce, I added about ½ cup of sour cream, a few dashes of garlic powder and a few dashes of parmesan cheese. For the topping, I didn’t have any parsley, so I used Italian seasoning, oregano, and basil. Lastly, I didn’t have enough cheddar, so I used mozzarella and a Mexican cheese mix to make up the difference. Sorry I made so many changes, but the result was amazing!!

I thought this was quite tasty and my 4 year old adamantly stated that we should make it again (which definitely makes it a winner in my book). Plus, it was fairly easy to make. It probably took me 20 minutes to prep and the rest was baking time. I did change a few things. First, I subbed a red bell pepper for the onion since my boyfriend is allergic to onion. I also added 4 cloves of garlic (it was very garlicky so next time I'll try 3) and upped the thyme to about 1/2 tsp. I also used probably double the cheese listed and used italian seasoned breadcrumbs for the topping. It was very good but I think next time I might try adding some diced celery and carrot just to up our vegetable intake a bit and add some more color. I'd like to try it with ham, too. I think this is one of those recipes where you can really add whatever spices/vegetables/meats you want to suit your tastes or depending on what you have on hand. Give it a try. We sure enjoyed it and I will definitely be making it again!

good, and pretty simple to make. I love the thyme flavor, but the dish feels very heavy...the saltiness of the turkey, the richness of the cheese and white sauce...it would probably benefit from some added vegetables: some peas or chopped broccoli maybe.

This recipe was okay at best. My daughter wouldn't eat it (but she's picky as it is) and my husband and I ate it but felt it wasn't all that flavourful. We wouldn't make again.

I agree with the other reviews, it was like an "almost really good". It was too bland. I want to make it again with more flavor because it has fantastic potential.

This was quite good, but bland. Next time I will likely add more cheese and some spices.

This was easy to throw together on a busy night, used up turkey leftovers, and my whole picky and casserole-hating family liked it! My changes: I have someone who is lactose intolerant so I make my white sauce with homemade turkey broth instead of milk (he can take the cheese, though). I left the topping off because I have a topping-picky person. I just covered it in the oven. The proportions of sauce, noodles, cheese and turkey were just right.

A nice, simple recipe. I used Italian-style seasoned breadcrumbs and eliminated the parsley. I thought it came out pretty good, however I would suggest seasoning to taste instead of using just the amount of seasoning listed (ie salt, pepper and thyme). Also, next time I plan on using a bit more cheddar cheese.
