Sounded like it had all the elements of a great breakfast casserole - so I used breakfast sausage instead. It was really really good! Since I had never made it before I was expecting it to have a dry bisquit like texture (it did not) but since that is what I thought it would be like I made sausage gravy too. It did not need the gravy but it was pretty great with it anyway. Definite have again!

I had to add alot more spices to the turkey, because plain it was very bland. This was, however, very easy and made the kitchen smell great.

I added spices and it was still gross! I can't imagine what it would have tasted like without the spices. I wouldn't waste your time with this.

This is not that great and it's pretty low on nutrition too. I'm sure you could add some veggies to it or something but I've made much quicker, tastier and healthier "rush" dinners in my life.

I added salt and pepper, 8 oz. roughly chopped mushrooms, and 1 pkg frozen spinach defrosted and excess water squeezed out to the onion and turkey mixture after it was cooked most of the way. Then poured the hole mess in a casserole dish and put the cheese and bisquik topping on. It was delicious!

Followed directions exactly except for using eggs instead of egg beaters. I was a little disapointed. I won't call it bland, but it was lacking for me. It tasted like a lot of turkey burger with not a lot else. I was really looking for that bisquick taste, with the eggs, but all together there was barely enough of either to hold the burger together. It needs more of the liquid, and less burger, more... veggie of some sort. I'm not a good enough cook to fix this to a better recipe, so I'll probably hunt for something similar.

I did not care for this recipe. It couldn't have been more bland. I can't even begin to think of anything I could do to salvage this recipe.

This was ok. A little bland for my family. I'll try to spice up the meat next time.

This was OK. It was a bit bland for me, but the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because my 13 month old loved it! Its a blessing when I serve something for dinner that is not a project to get her to eat! My changes: I added chili powder, kosher salt and ground black pepper to the turkey / onion mixture. I added 1/2 bag mixed vegetables to the meat mixture, as well. Then poured all into a deep round Corningware, sprinkled with cheese. Poured over Bisquick mixture, which I made with 2 eggs (didn't have egg substitute). Baked uncovered at 400 for 23 minutes. Again, it was OK for me, but honestly I likely will make it again due to the ease of preparation and my daughter's enjoyment of it!

The turkey mixture was quite bland so I added minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce. I also added sliced mushrooms. It was good but nothing fantastic. I like ground chicken breast so I think if I try this recipe again, I will use ground chicken. Ground chicken doesn't taste "gamey" like ground turkey.

This was a very simple dish to prepare. I agree with everyone else to add seasoning. I added some Lawry's Salt, Salt & Pepper and a dash of cayenne pepper. My husband and I liked it but our picky eaters did not care for it.

I added 1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed squeezed dry, and 1 small pkg. fresh mushrooms coarsly chopped to the turkey and onion mixture (next time will add 2 cloves minced garlic). You need to salt and pepper the turkey mixture to taste. I used white cheddar for the cheese and added 1/4 tsp.nutmeg to the egg mixture before pouring over the top of the pie. Excellent recipe and a great base for all sorts of additions to make it unique.

I read a lot of reviews and made my own version of this. Ground turkey is pretty bland on its own. I used taco seasoning to season it up some. I also grated two small zucchini and added that to the meat as I browned it. After using the taco seasoning mix and adding the water, it had to cook somewhat longer than usual because the zucchini added extra liquid (even after draining). I used 1 cup Bisquick, two eggs, and 1 1/4 cup almond milk (we're lactose intolerant) for the topping. Both picky kids liked this, especially after I called it 'taco pie' instead of turkey burger pie. It's an easy recipe to adapt to your own tastes.

This was a really good hit. I did alter the recipe. I put spinach in it (my boyfriend hates veggies so I had to sneak it in) and used a lot of mozzarella cheese. I also used a cheddar-garlic biscuit mix instead of normal buttermilk, and I will say that it was excellent on top. Very good and easy. Will make again. (Also I seasoned my turkey while browning with season all salt, fresh cracked pepper and chill power.)

I didn't expect that much from this recipe, but I was sold on quick, easy, and having been made on the day the submitter came home from the hospital with her son. I'm trying to cook with a week old infant...lol. Like others, I used 2 eggs and added some peas and corn, and used ground beef just because that's what I had on hand. It was an excellent hearty meal. My 7 year old begged grandmom to buy her ground turkey or ground beef right away just so I can make it again for her!

I loved, loved, loved this! My family is large, so I tripled the recipe and a longer baking time was required. I used eggs instead of egg substitute and I put seasoned salt and pepper on the meat. Very good - it will be a regular for us.
