Take this recipe as a guideline and make it your own. My family likes spice (as in hot) and meat. I doubled the turkey to one pound and browned with an entire onien (chopped) and salt and pepper. I omitted the celery and green pepper. I also used Rotel instead of stewed tomatoes. I suggest doubling the chili powder. The addition of the vinegar made the recipe perfect!

We make this at least once a week now. Our variation is 1 can of rotel diced tomatoes and green chile's and then add some hot red pepper relish to the meat while cooking....we serve it with parmesean and chopped cilantro and chopped parsley. It is an amazing meal!

Very good. Didn't have bowties, used penne instead. Didn't have tomatoes and used tomato paste with a can of water. Mixed all seasonings into the sauce and used a little extra sugar to compensate for the bitterness of the paste Had to add extra liquid to cook pasta. End result was very flavorful when seasoned to taste.

I love spicy, so I used Rotel instead of stewed tomatoes. I also added crushed red pepper with a bit of cumin to the beef while cooking. I thought all of these ingredients sounded odd, but ended up being really impressed.

Myself, hubby and 3 kids thought this was yummy! We followed recipe as is except for using regular diced tomatoes and adding more liquid to the noodles, and about a tbsp of Watkins chicken base to thicken it up a tad. Added in peas and frozen spinach - you could really add any veggies to this recipe and it would taste good.

This dish looked very pretty but turned out very bland even though I used italian seasoned turkey. I doubled the chili powder and added more garlic. The amount of sauce was poor for a skillet dish.

I used tri color spiral noodles because it is what I had at the time. The family liked it and my "picky" eater took him time and ate it all..I was suprised, usually he picks out every little thing to ask what it is..but he liked this! I made some bread sticks with leftover pizza dough to go with. Filling dinner that was pretty quick and super easy!

Pretty good - definitely a quick, easy recipe. Very much like American Chop Suey. I substituted diced tomatoes for stewed and balsamic vinegar for regular and it was yummy. Will make again.

I thought this was a very tasty dish. I followed the recipe pretty much exactly just to see how it turned out. I liked it but I think next time I might try making it more of a casserole and cooking everything as it says in the recipe, maybe add a little more tomatoes or sauce and putting it in a casserole dish with cheese on top and bake it for 20 minutes or so.

This was a decent dish...probably give it about 3.5 stars. I did not cook my turkey in the oil, it's just not needed. Was all out of celery, so upped my green peppers and used whole wheat penne instead of bow ties (didn't have any). I added some red pepper flakes for kick and used diced tomoatoes in place of the stewed, like the chunks of tomatoes! All in all, good dish, just nothing I would go out of my way to make again!

Although I made a few modifications, this dish tasted much better than it looked. I cooked the pasta in a can and a half of chicken broth, used petite diced tomatoes in place of stewed, and played around with the chili powder. The fresh parsley on top really made the dish for me. Mine came out very watery/brothy but tasted AMAZING. Will definitely make this again!

Delicious with these changes- ground spicy sausage rather than turkey( pour out grease when cooked ), More garlic cloves, red pepper too, no celery, no onion, strained diced tomatoes and about 4 cups of broth. (Just strain out the excess once pasta is cooked). I never tried the recipe as it was, I'm sure it would be good too, but ground sausage is way more flavourful so we enjoyed this version.

We thought this recipe was delicious, easy to make, and very healthy! I did follow the comments of several other reviewers and doubled the broth. I used diced tomatoes instead of stewed (with juice), added both garlic salt and powder, and increased the amount of onion that went into the recipe. It was delicious!

This was a pretty simple dish to make and I followed some of the suggestions along with adding my own. I had over a pound of ground turkey so I doubled the pasta, onion, celery, green pepper, garlic. I only used 1 can of diced tomatoes and I didn't add sugar but instead used a very high quality balsamic vinegar (1 Tb) and used more chili powder than the recipe calls for. I also added some red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. I did double the chicken broth but I doubled everything else (4 cups pasta). I would imagine if I had any more liquid, it would have been soupy. My family LOVED this dish. There were no leftovers! Very satisfying dish that is a healthy choice.

Wow! This was WAY better than I thought it was going to be. I was concerned, prior to making it, that it would have a chili flavor and was slightly turned off by the combo of ingredients. Having said that, it is one of the best ground turkey recipes I've had in quite a long time. The only way to best describe the dish type is italian meets southwestern - the parmesan cheese on top is the perfect touch! Thanks for a great easy and healthy recipe.

Very good! This is a versatile recipe, and can be changed to suit what veggies you like and what's in the fridge. I used some mushrooms and green beans instead of the green pepper, plus I doubled the broth as other reviewers suggested.
