The idea for this recipe is fabulous - but I did tweak it a bit after reading the first review. When I was browning the onions, celery and turkey I added about 1/4 cup of real bacon bits. Then when mixing the stuffing mixture with the turkey mixture, I added in 1/2 cup of applesauce for moisture, and replaced the fresh cranberries with craisins. With these adjustments, it tasted just like my grandma's thanksgiving stuffing, and got a great response from my family!

I like the idea of this, but I didn't care for the cranberries. They were very tart and didn't blend well. Maybe if they were added to the turkey while it cooked? Also, the balls themselves seem a little dry. I will definitely try this again and tweak it a bit, but as is, they were just so so.
