1 (8.8 ounce) package
King's Hawaiian® Snacker Rolls
salt, or to taste
ground black pepper, or to taste
1 (12 ounce) can
tuna packed in water, drained and lightly flaked
finely chopped onion
finely chopped celery
sweet pickle relish
sharp Cheddar cheese, cut in half
This was pretty tasty. I didn't have pickle relish, so I used chopped garlic dills. I also used regular hoagie buns, as we don't usually buy hawaiian bread. Both my kids and I enjoyed this. Quite filling and not your average tuna sandwich. Next time, I might add some chopped red onion.
it was very good, i used the bread machine amish bread from this site for bread.
Quick, easy and yummy!
Whenever I buy the sweet king rolls they are gone in the blink of an eye, so I used my favorite "skinny buns". Used shredded cheddar cheese, light "real" mayo and omitted the salt. We love our onion and celery in larger "crunchy" pieces instead of finely chopped. This made a very tasty, crunchy and light lunch. My hubby ate his without any bread and just topped the broiled tomatoes and cheese with the tuna mixture. He loved it!
Delicious! Tuna melts are a "classic" and are very cheap and easy to make. Plus they're not bad for a filling meal. I used Hellman's light mayo and red onion. I've made tuna so many times I basically eyeballed the ingredients. I used soft potato rolls that I toasted before adding the ingredients, sorry King's Hawaiian. These were very good and very cheesy!
