My kids really dug the heck out of this. It was not only easy for me, but all of the ingredients called for in this recipe I could buy cheaply at my local discount grocery store. I used Hebrew National dogs, low-fat cheese and omitted the chilies. They ate two each. They can't wait for Dad to come home and see what Mom made for dinner.

I have made something similar to this. Only I wrapped the dogs with bacon (no cheese), secured with toothpicks and deep fried them till golden, then wrapped them in warm tortillas. My family loves them.

I used Velveeta cheese and it was so creamy and good.

I didn't care for these, so much so, It made me reach for a plain one. Too bad, it sounded good.

My Dad used to make these when I was a little kid. Only he used Velveeta and he didn't pre-cook the bacon, so they were a gishy, greasy mess. I loved them anyway. My adult palate likes this version better. Great recipe! I should have thought of it my self!

I made these last weekend when I realised that the marinated pork chops I had planned needed 24 hours of marinating (oops). Luckily, I had everything I needed on hand to make these delicious little treats! My husband declared them the new gold standard and said that any other hot dog is just a dog now! I served them with a simple tomato and cucumber salad from this site. Definitely yummy in the tummy!
