i thought these fries were AWESOME! i fixed them for dinner and ate nearly all of them before dinner was served! my 3 yr old loved them...i might go easier on the lemon pepper (for him) next time but i'll be making these several times a week i'm sure!

These are great, I've always loved sweet potato fries. For those looking for something with the same texture and crunchiness as a regular french fry...well, you will not find it here. Sweet potato fries are softer, and thus don't crunch up like regular potatoes. Keep that in mind when making these and you won't be disappointed. They are really, really good!

Great healthy, easy recipe for these power packed potatoes! I went a little lighter on the oil, and didn't add additional salt or pepper due to the lemon pepper. Potato-licious!

These were pretty good, but just because I love sweet potatoes. I followed all of the suggestions from other cooks (sliced thin, no pre-cook, spaced apart on the pan, cooked 45 minutes, etc.) and still couldn't get them to get the least bit crispy, unless I just burnt them to a crisp! So they weren't really fries--just seasoned, baked sweet potato slivers--and for that they were good.

I followed others suggestions and didn't do the pre-cook step to avoid sogginess. After 60 mins; the fries were still chewy even with cutting them thinner than the photos.

Very yummy!! I cut them in circular shapes instead of fry shapes. Also I put them in the broiler for a minute or 2 to make them crispier. They had great flavor and were delicious!

I really enjoyed these, and I'm not a big sweet potato fan. Will definitely make them again. They don't taste much like regular fries but rather work on their own merits - so view this as trying a new recipe, rather than making a substitute for something else. Having said that, they go great with ketchup and hamburgers. Thanks for the recipe!

I am giving this 4 stars because I skipped the pre cooking step and didn't use the lemon pepper. I love sweet potato fries and I make them all the time because of this recipe. The secret is to make sure they are all cut fairly evenly and they are spaced out on the pan. If they are crowded too close together they will not cook properly. Also always make sure to turn them at least once or they will get burned on one side. Regular potatoes you don't have to be so careful but sweet potatoes you do for some reason.

Very yummy. They did turn out a bit flimsy so I'll try some of the other suggestions next time.

This was my first time making these. They turned out great. They were a little soft, so I think I'll leave out the pre cooling next time. The flavor was great. thanks

This recipe is only so-so. I don't think they had the consistency of a french fry at all. They were soggy! Per others suggestions I only microwaved 2 1/2 minutes and then I baked for 45 minutes in attempt to have them crisp up. I even broiled for a few minutes to try and had crispness. This was still not accomplished. My fries were sliced just slightly larger than a standard fry. The taste was decent enough, but they had more of a baked potato consistency than a fry. I will try again only because they are a healthy alternative. Next time I will try not to pre-nuke at all and just bake for about an hour.

Clearly I am not doing something right because these things were not even close to crispy. My kids liked them anyway but they were pretty soggy. And I only microwaved them 1/2 the recommended time, as I had read in earlier reviews. Too bad. But I will try again anyway. It's a good idea and surely I can make it work eventually.

My family enjoyed these fries. I cut the recipe in half and it was still plenty. A healthy alternative to white potatoes. However, I won't microwave them next time - too flimsy. I will make these again.

Suggested recipe made the potatoes too mushy. I remade omiting the pre-cooking and they turned out better.
