These are so delicious, loved every bite! We usually don't have pancakes around these parts, so I'm not a pancake expert, but I definitely can tell what I like or what I don't and these were fabulous. I'd tried a couple of recipes before but never got a half-decent result until now. Soft, light and fluffy, mmmmmmmm, ate breakfast twice this morning, lol. Thank you!!

I used Sharon's amounts for 3 people (amounts below) and these were the best pancakes I've ever made. My husband said they might be the best he's ever had. Delicious! There was enough batter for about 9 pancakes For three people and plenty of leftovers I scaled recipe down to 2 eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 2 tablespoons butter,2 cups butter milk, 2 cups flour, 1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar.

I just made these for supper and the servings should say feeds 12 truckers and their entire family. Makes way too many pancakes; all in all: they were good but I really didn't care for the consistency.

I do not understand the great reviews. I followed this recipe exactly and got very bland pancakes that had an eggy texture. I will not make these again, I would have to change to much.

These were very good, although I tried putting vanilla in like another reviewer said and didn't like that. Wish I had stuck to the original recipe. I did modify the size as well.

I had to add a ton of sugar and vanilla to give them some flavor. I prefer sweeter pancakes so I will never make these again.

I made these pancakes today and they came out tasty but had a wierd after taste. I think it was the amount of baking powder and baking soda it asked for. The next time I make them I'm going to cut down on those two.

If you like buttermilk pancakes, this is the perfect recipe. I scaled this back (2 cups flour, 2 cups buttermilk, etc) and still had enough to use the next day. I did have to add a little bit of flour on day two to re-thicken the batter.

I loved the fluffiness of this recipe! The full recipe does make a ton, so I will, like other reviewers, scale it back next time. I froze some since it made so many and we couldn't eat them all. I will update my review to let you all know how they tasted. Thanks! UPDATE-The frozen ones are good! Of course, nothing beats fresh, but fine for those times you need a quick homemade breakfast and don't have time.

These pancakes were great. The recipe made a lot but I like to make them and either freeze them for future weekday breakfasts or stick them in the fridge for that weeks on-the-run breakfasts. I did have to add more milk to make them less thick (but I always do that b/c I like them thinner - and they cook faster). Overall, these were delcious and better than the other recipe we tried on here I think.
