Takes a little while to cook, but relatively simple and tasty. Works with or without the pineapple.

I made this for dinner tonight and we all loved it!! I have 5 adults in my household and they said they wanted it again! The only thing I did different was I doubled the sauce and if I hadn't we may not have had enough for the rice and chops. Thank you for the new regular meal for us!

Over all this was a great meal. My husband who hate pinapple and anything that is not meat and potatoes LOVED this. I on the other hand thought that it was good. I added some pineapple juice while the pork was simmering. I think that next time I will use fresh pineapple instead of canned. The sause was really tangy but like I said it was good! I will be making this again.

This recipe tasted much different than the "tropical" flavor i thought it would have but was still very tasty. It was more a tangy flavor. All i did in the way of changes was i added a tsp more sugar and about 1/2 water 1/2 pineapple juice when simmering. Otherwise it turned out excellent. Also i used 1/2 c pineapples and that was everyones favorite part. I served over rice w/ corn. will make again.

I made one serving but kept the sauce amount the same. I ended up adding a little more garlic powder and also some teriyaki sauce. Turned out great - nice and sweet and soury. Thanks, Babineau!

This wasn't a bad recipe. I only gave it a 3 because it was a split decision in our house. Only my husband and son liked it. My daughter and I found that it was somewhat bitter tasting.

This was really good. I used super thin pork and cut them into strips. I also added some peppers and forgot the pineapples. I served it with rice.

I have been in marital bliss for over a year now, but so far never managed to get into the kitchen. The reason? Hubby loves to cook and he is really good at it. Moreover, he is a finnicky eater and not easily satisfied. However lately he has been very busy with his work, so I decided it's about time to get into the kitchen... my first time EVER. Honestly, I mean it, I have NEVER cooked a meal in my life (not counting boiling an egg). And I was never nervous about it, how will my first meal turn out? Anyway, after this long introduction I will get to the point: Tropical Pork Chops was my VERY FIRST home made meal ever, and it turned out GREAT. It was really easy to make, what is more important, Hubby loved it (yay!). I look forward to cook again, in fact I told hubby tomorrow is MY turn again! Thanks for posting this wonderful recipe. I like this site.

My husband particularly liked these and he is a food snob. I made the sauce as directed, used more onion and braised it in a 350 oven for an hour. Braising is my prefered method for pork so it doesn't turn to cardboard. Moist, delicious and good flavor. A very good recipe that may be tweaked to your taste, but is terrific as it is.

This is the BEST pork recipe EVER! I usually have most of the ingredients on hand (or something similar, like garlic salt instead of garlic). I hate ketchup so I use just a couple spoonfuls of ketchup and replace the rest with bbq sauce. I often add sugar snap peas or broccoli. This recipe also works pretty well with chicken. The day after I first tried this recipe I was still so pleased with the sauce that I cooked it up with some chicken nuggets for lunch!

I have made this 3 times already - it is a main recipe for us now. Sometimes I use pork tenderloin instead of chops. The sauce take a while to prepare - but it is worth it. I reccomend making the sauce ahead of time.

This recipe was ok for most in the family, but a definite dislike from my husband (he doesn't like mustard, so that may be why). My toddler loved it though.

I made this a week ago. It was delicious! The pork was juicy and tender, the pineapple the perfect touch. I served it over rice. I will definitely make this again, probably once a month.

This is my favorite recipe. I double the sauce and drizzle it over everything when done. Very very good.
