I didn't read the all the directions before making these- I ended up creaming the butter and sugar together instead of cutting in the butter. I left out the coconut. I don't think 8 mins was quite long enough before pouring on the condensed milk as most of it ended up on the bottom. These bars are delicious and my husband told me that I can't lose this recipe!
