I've been making these for years! I used to make them when my daughter was in high school musicals ... a batch for every performance! They are known as "Canaday's Musical Brownies!" I usually use milk chocolate chips in mine.

These were pretty good for being so fast and easy. They were more cake-like than fudgy for me - tasted pretty much like cake with pudding in it! It would be fun to try this with various other flavor combinations, like yellow cake and butterscotch pudding, etc.

Needs a new title. They are not at all fudgy. Not that bad tasting but they really had the texture of a somewhat dry cake actually. I guess honestly since I was wanting something moist and fudgy I was quite dissapointed.

I've made this recipe many times and EVERYONE Raves! I've also substituted butterscotch pudding and chips and butter cake mix with smashing results. This is by far my favorite brownie recipe.
