Tasted like a very buttery oatmeal cookie with berries. This was an OK recipe. I cut back on the butter and cinnamon , but other than that, I made it by the instructions. It was WAY too buttery. I like the way that it had a crust and a crumb topping. I'll try something else next time or either cut way back on the butter if I do make this again. Adjustments made: 1.25 cups butter instead of 1.5 and 3/4 tsp cinnamon instead of 1 tsp.

Simple and delicious! I used all black raspberries and it turned out great. I reduced the amount of brown sugar and butter in the recipe.(used 1c brown sugar and 1c butter) Will definitely make again.

Wonderful recipe! I also agree to use more fruit and less topping. Yum!

This was pretty good but not quite 5* worthy. Seems like there should be more filling to compensate for the double crust. I used frozen berries and the filling was just fine. Will make again, but will double the filling.

Used a mixed bad of berries which always works well. My only suggestion would be to read other tips about cutting back on the sugar, brown sugar, and butter. My family LOVED this recipe and did not notice the change. They even said it may have been too sweet if I used the correct amount. (I used 1 cup packed brown sugar, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 cup butter) Thanks for the GREAT recipe! Will make again!

I cut the recipe in half since there's only two of us. Used blueberries, strawberries and blackberries. So nice blend of sweet and tangy. Used plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg in the topping and only made the top layer. very quick and yummy! Ate it warm with vanilla ice cream, and the next day, cold with homemade whipped cream. Loved it, berries were fresh and didn't need sugar sprinkled on them YUM!!!

I'm a big fan of all things fruit, so the fact this had three berries told me it was a match made in heaven. At first I thought making a 9 X 13 pan for two people was going to be a bit much, but after just finishing my plate I think I'll be able to polish this off in a few days with the wife's help!

The frozen fruit got a bit juicy (after it thawed out) so I added 1 TBSP of cornstarch to thicken it up. Also added 1 tbsp. of fresh lemon juice to brighten up the fruit flavor. Delicious!

This recipe is amazing! The first time i made it with real berries and it turned out amazing. When i made it the second time with mainly frozen berries it was a little bit too juicy for my liking! Definitely an amazing recipe either way!!

I tried this recipe on Sunday, and it is so good. I used only blueberries, and scaled the recipe down to half to fit in an 8" baking dish. I'd like to make it again!!! Very very yummy!!

Loved this so much! Instead of fresh berries, I used a 16 Oz bag of mixed ones and added a 16 oz bag of strawberries because 1 16 once bag is not enough. Followed everything else perfectly and OH MY GOD, it went super fast.

This is one of the best crisps I know. I have tried several different berries and they are all good. Yesterday I made it with only fresh blueberries. I didn't add the white sugar to them. It didn't taste overly sweet. It actually tasted healthy...lol

I made this recipe exactly according to the recipe and the crisp was excellent. Next time I will take the advice of others and cut back a bit on the sugar and butter. I feel like the butter could have been cut maybe even in half. This recipe is definately a keeper though. Eventually I taylor all recipes to our tastes but I like to see how the recipe is in its origional form first.
