Delicious! I used 2 bags of frozen blueberries. This amount was perfect for a 9x13 crisp. I did not add sugar to the berries, though I wish I had. I think not only would the berries have been a bit sweeter, but the sugar helps to make a gooier berry layer. I tried only adding half the butter (3/4 C) as suggested in other recipes. This amount was not enough. I had a good amount of dry ingredients that remained uncooked on top of the berry layer. Next time I will either use a full cup of butter, or add some applesauce or nonfat yogurt to the dry ingredients.

I couldn't believe how perfect this came out! I LOVE the taste of the berries and the smell was absolutely HEAVENLY! I baked it for the time suggested & turned off the oven leaving it in there for about 10 minutes longer and the crisp on top was PERFECT! Thanks for an amazing recipe, this is a favorite, hands down!

I couldn't stand to use that much butter so I didn't. Tasted a bit dry but probably due to lack of insane amount of butter. Bummer!

I happen to not care for berries once they are cooked, so I didn't eat this myself. But everyone else who did, enjoyed it! Now I can only rate the recipe based on the preparation of the actual berries as I used the "crisp" recipe from Ina Garten which I happen to love. It could have been sweeter, but since I served it with Vanilla ice cream, they said it balanced the flavors nicely. Next time I will taste the berries first and adjust the sugar accordingly. I would definitely make this again for those who enjoyed it the first time around.

Really good, have made it several times. Works with a layer of apples, I added apple pie spice and left a little bit thicker flour/oatmeal layer on top to get a good crisp.

This recipe turned out great. I didn't have quite enough fresh fruit so I added about 1/2 a cup of frozen raspberries and it still turned out well. You could scale down the topping recipe though

This is a wonderful recipe. I've made it a couple times now. Where we live we have a lot of fresh blackberries to use and then I had frozen blueberries to go with them. Didn't have any raspberries although I'm sure it would be wonderful with them as well. The blackberries & blueberries turned out great served with a some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. It doesn't turn out mushy if you thaw the frozen berries and drain them well. I will definitely make this again.

Really good. Very easy to make, I followed the recipe exactly except that I used blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. The blueberries and strawberries were frozen so I kept it in the oven for another 10 minutes more. I would definitely make this again.

Easy to make and this recipe was a big hit with my co-workers. Word of caution, if you use frozen fruit, be sure that it has been thoroughly defrosted and drained otherwise you will get a lot of excess liquid in the bottom of your crisp. I used froze blueberries and ran into this problem. I elevated the pan to let the liquid pool then drained it off and then the crust was crisp like it should be. If I hadn't done that the crust would have been soggy.

I have made apple crisp with a top and bottom before at the request of my spouse. I made this with previously frozen mulberries picked from our new mulberry trees. Thank you for the inspiration!

Having the crisp on the top and bottom is genius. I have made this with a few different berry combinations and it's perfect every time. Serve it warm with ice cream-fantastic!!
