I usually don't review a recipe if I deviate too much from the original, it just doesn't seem right to judge something you've changed too much. I have to rate this though because I used it as a base and made such a good recipe I want to give it credit. I made up the bacon, and tortellini like the recipe calls for. (I used 6 strips and that was plenty for 9 oz of pasta) I bought cooked medium shrimp, and sauteed them for 1 minute in butter and garlic salt. Before they were cooked all the way I poured in a jar of alfredo and stirred it together and turned off the burner. (Cooked shrimp can get rubbery fast if you leave the heat on the burner for too long). I added the bacon and cooked tortellini and some jarred parm cheese and green onions and mixed it all together. My husband and I loved it. We would rather eat this than eat out. That's saying a lot. This recipe is such a good base, it could have several variations. Thank you for sharing.

This recipe is not all that inspired or authentic, but it's solidly good and a decent base for add-ins. I added slightly more cheese, lots of black pepper, and some peas and green onions. Tasty - thanks!

I gave four stars for being a good start. It is a good base, but you do have to add things to it to give it that 'something'.

This was so good! I used spinach and ricotta cheese tortellini and added chicken to the sauce mixture. I increased the cream to about 1 and 3/4 cup. Instead of tossing the sauce with the pasta I just plated the tortellini and spooned sauce on the top. Being just the two of us there was sauce left over so I froze it so that I could use it with Ravioli next time. Thanks for a great recipe and I'll definitely use it again in the future!

A very good pasta dish! I added chicken and peas, so I made a little extra sauce (1/2 cup more cream and a handful more cheese). It was very simple and fast and tasted great!

It is a good meal.. not the absolute best tasting ever, but good... I tried to healthy it up a bit with whole wheat tortellini, and turkey bacon. I also added chicken and sauteed mushrooms (fresh portabellas) with garlic. Nice additional kick.

This is a good "base" from which to build a delicious sauce. I added one clove of minced garlic. Rather than parsley, I added fresh basil. I also put a smidgen of cornstarch to thicken it.
