I cooked this just as the recipe states. Adding the oil gives it such a wonderful flavor change. We did 1/2 with Mozzarella & 1/2 with Parmesan. I'd give it 5 stars with Parmesan instead!!

Excellent and quick. I didn't even add the cheese and it was great - although I did add an extra clove of garlic.

I have made this a few times.Once with parmesean, once with mozzarella, and once with no cheese at all. I will never buy the store garlic bread again! Having a good bread also makes a difference!

My first garlic bread made at home. Used wholegrain italian bread and it was success.

Very tasty! I used a loaf of Italian bread from our local bakery, but since there are only three of us, followed the spread recipe generally (ie. about 1 tbsp. butter, glug of oil, etc). It broiled up nicely in our counter toaster, and does taste like restaurant bread. Will use again.

Delicious! This bread was a hit at tonight's dinner party. Per another reviewers instruction I added freshly chopped parsley.

fantastic recipe. I used hoagie rolls because I had some left over that needed to be eaten. I added a little fresh grated parmesan but otherwise made as stated.

I usually omit the cheese and increase everything by about a half in order to cover a whole loaf. Also I always add more garlic cause there's never too much garlic.

Awesome garlic bread. I added some parmesan crumble to it but either way it is an excellent recipe and very easy. Thanks!

Good - not the best ever. I am not sure if it needs the olive oil? But the oregano was nice. I feel like it is missing something.

So yummy! I found this as my tofu parmigiana was finishing baking... I only had some Cottage Bread (yep, a white loaf of bread from the grocery store...not what I normally buy, so I'm trying to use it up!) and it worked out WONDERFULLY! The flavors were wonderful and my dinner guest agreed. The bottom didn't toast quite as well as I would normally like, but I'm sure it's because the bread I used is just so soft. I am sure I will use this recipe again and again (with a better bread, of course!) So much better than frozens loaf many people use...
