This is the best alfredo sauce recipe yet! I topped it with chicken with herbs, diced plum tomatoes, and basil. Mmm.... it was GOOD!

I usually pair down the ingredients because I'm only making it for two - 1 cup cream 1/2 stick butter & 3/4 cup parm with a little on top..and don't forget the garlic powder...but essentially if you want good alfredo...not jarred alfredo you need butter, cream, and parm!!!!! Great recipe!!! Finally someone who knows their alfredo!!!

I added minced garlic, plenty of fresh ground black pepper, and extra cheese to my sauce. This was a great recipe and easy to use and modify to fit your families taste. Thanks.

Everyone loved this at my house. I had to sub the Romano cheese, so I used Asiago instead - very flavorful and tasty. The Asiago is a bit sharper than the Romano, as evidenced by the smell - but delicious. Can't wait to try it with the Romano. Nice and thick sauce, and plenty of it as well.

Fabulous!! I used homemade wheat alfredo noodles and half and half instead of cream. The romano cheese gives a great flavor.

I found the romano cheese taste too strong. I like my alfredo sauce more parm/garlic taste.

Made this for dinner tonight and it was VERY good. My son had 3 helpings! It does taste a lot like Olive Gardens Alfredo which is his favorite dish there. I spiced it up alot with loads of nutmeg (I adore lots of nutmeg with white sauce) and tons of pepper. Otherwise it was a tad on the bland side but still REALLY good. My kids like theirs without nutmeg and pepper. I scaled down the servings to 4 and reduced the pasta ratio because we like pasta saucy! Ill be making this again soon.

This is the only homemade Alfredo recipe I have ever tried and it is sooooo good. The only thing I change is adding a little minced garlic instead of garlic salt. I add shrimp in during the last few minutes of cooking and it turns out so wonderful. Even better than shrimp fettuccine Alfredo from the olive garden, which has long been a favorite of mine.

I order Fettuccini Alfredo everywhere I go and I have to say this recipe beats all the restaurants hands down. I grill up some chicken, steam some broccoli, mix it all together & its heaven! Awesome recipe, thank you!

My husband and I always get fettuccine Alfredo at Italian restaurants and this was just as good as any I have ever had. I am so excited to be able to fix this at home. I added a little extra cheese to the sauce and grilled chicken with Italian seasonings and garlic powder and shredded it and added to the pasta! It was literally to die for!!!
